Meet Max – A Little Guy with a Big HeartMax is a 6-month-old Shih Tzu puppy who weighs just 8 pounds, but don’t let his tiny size fool you—this sweet boy has a huge heart and a lovable personality to match. Despite coming in with a very matted coat, Max has shown nothing but kindness and trust toward everyone he meets.He’s incredibly friendly with people and lights up when given attention and affection. Max is also great with other dogs and seems to really enjoy their company, making him a wonderful addition to a multi-dog household.Max is still a young pup and learning about the world, but his gentle and cheerful nature shines through in everything he does. He’s playful, loving, and eager to be someone’s little shadow.If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient pup who’s ready to experience all the joys of being part of a family, Max is waiting to steal your heart.**** Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with time and a gentle approach, most of these dogs adapt quickly.
