****Meet Trucker – A Big, Energetic, and Loving Shepherd MixTrucker is a two-year-old German Shepherd mix with a big personality to match his size. Weighing in at 84 pounds, he looks even bigger with his strong build and confident presence. This high-energy boy is looking for an active home that will help him channel his enthusiasm into positive outlets. He would do best with a fenced in yard. Trucker is extremely friendly with every person he meets—he’s a kisser, a cuddler, and always ready to make a new friend. He also loves toys and treats, making him highly motivated for training. While he knows some commands, he absolutely needs to continue working on his training, as he is very strong and pulls on the leash. A family committed to his training will help him become the well-mannered dog he’s meant to be.When it comes to other dogs, Trucker prefers female dogs, and he can sometimes be too much for some dogs to handle. A meet-and-greet will be required before adoption to ensure the right match.Trucker is a big, lovable goofball who is looking for a home that will embrace his energetic nature, continue his training, and provide him with plenty of love and structure. If you’re ready for a fun, affectionate, and strong companion, Trucker is waiting to meet you!Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
