Meet Demi – A Tiny Sweetheart with a Shy SmileDemi is a 7-month-old Shih Tzu who weighs just 10 pounds, but she’s got a heart full of love waiting to be discovered. This little girl is shy when she first meets new people, but once she realizes she’s safe and loved, her gentle, affectionate personality begins to shine through.She’s the type of pup who may need a moment to assess her surroundings, but it doesn’t take long before she’s snuggling up for some attention and showing off just how sweet she really is. Demi is learning more about the world every day and making great progress, thanks to her natural curiosity and kind spirit.Demi would do best in a calm and patient home that can give her the time she needs to fully come out of her shell. Once she feels comfortable, she’s sure to reward you with endless sweetness, quiet cuddles, and those loving puppy eyes that melt hearts.Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with time and a gentle approach, most of these dogs adapt quickly.
