My story

Meet Mojave! A 2 year old male who was E-Listed at MCACC for being shut down and fearful in the shelter. He was extremely sweet when we met him the shelter, it was clear he was very overwhelmed and under socialized. Mojave also had contracted Kennel cough in the shelter and was feeling pretty sick when we brought him into the rescue. After 2 weeks of healing, he is feeling much better and is ready to meet his forever family! Mojave adjusted well in his foster home despite being sick at first. He was immediately snuggling up and asking for belly rubs. Mojave experiences separation anxiety when left alone, but he enjoys his crate which helps with this. When left unsupervised, Mojave has gone looking for snacks in the trash and found some non-playful items to chew on. His crate helps keep him safe, and he doesn’t object to spending time in there — he even sleeps in his crate at night, without any arguments! Mojave has a good amount of energy, and likes to go on walks. He is a true gentleman on a leash and walks calmly with very little pulling. Mojave likes to be with the pack and he will make sure to tell you when he feels left out. He loves to play—especially with other dogs! Mojave will do well in a home where people are always around and where he is not left alone for long hours. He would appreciate another doggy sibling, especially one that is outgoing and can help open his boundaries. Mojave is great with kids and does well with all ages. He hasn’t met any cats yet while in our care, so we are not sure how he would interact with them. Overall, Mojave is a kind, nice boy who just wants to be shown love. If you have a space by your side for Mojave, fill out an application to meet him today! https://azhuskyrescue.com/adoption-application/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mojave, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
