My story

Beagle fans, meet Jackson! This lovely senior was surrendered because his owner was moving into senior housing and no longer able to care for him. He's a friendly social happy guy who always looks like he's smiling and has been happy to make new dog and human friends since coming to the shelter and loves his walks and just hanging around with people. Jackson came in unhealthily obese, but a full medical work up showed no underlying cause other than too many snacks! So he's on a strict diet and working on his figure. He does have heart disease that he's on medication for longterm to hopefully keep him around as long as possible, and weight loss will help take some strain off his heart as well.
