My story

- Meet Blue – Your Spotted, Tail-Wagging Life Coach! Name: Blue Age: 2 years Breed: Catahoula Mix Weight: 60-70 lbs of solid southern charm Looking for a dog that’s equal parts handsome, hilarious, and heart-melting? Say howdy to Blue – a Catahoula mix who’s got more personality than your cousin at karaoke night and more love to give than a grandma with a cookie jar. - What’s he like? Blue is your classic “gentle giant” – except instead of being calm all the time, he occasionally forgets how big he is and tries to sit on you. Not near you. Not beside you. ON you. It’s called “intense affection” and yes, we’ve already trademarked it. - Personality perks: Friendly? Check. Sweet? Double check. Thinks he's a lapdog? Oh yes. Will stare lovingly into your eyes like you're the last treat on Earth? You bet. Occasionally slides across your hardwood floors like Bambi on ice? Absolutely. - Favorite hobbies: Chasing tennis balls (returning them… questionable). Taking long walks where he pretends he’s in a dog food commercial. Sitting on your feet so you can’t leave him ever. Giving kisses like he’s been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Rom-Com. - Dislikes: Not being the center of attention. Cats who don’t want to be friends. Vacuums (who even invited those things to the party??). - Ideal home: Blue would love a home with a big yard to zoom in, a family that appreciates his sense of humor (and his occasional clumsiness), and people who will let him snuggle, smooch, and maybe just a little bit hog the bed. Blue is ready to meet you, If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. Ask about adoption transportation assistance if you do not live in the local area. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, a bordetella vaccination and are dewormed.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Blue, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
