My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together! Not only do I pull at heart strings, but I also pull on leash! I will need someone to help me with my leash manners.A volunteer writes: Major is fitting name for this boy. He is majorly handsome, majorly huge, and majorly amazing. At 110 pounds, Major plops his giant self down right at our feet, gently requesting unlimited pets (and dont worry he did say please and thank you!) His giant jowls flop around as a smile grows on his face. His tongue is no less huge than any other part of him and it eventually makes its way down and out of his mouth, flopping to the side. He prefers toys more for dogs about 1/5th of his size rather than any big stuffies. Major came to us after an eviction. In his home, he lived with 3 adults, 2 children, and 2 other dogs. He was said to sometimes hide at first when visitors came over, but after a bit of time he warms up and is playful and tolerant. He had always been outgoing and friendly with the children and dogs he lived with, and novel dogs on and off leash. He was described as a gentle giant, and he loved kongs, car rides, and cuddles! Staff have noted this big boy appreciates baby talk as well to help him feel more confident. Primary Color: Gray Weight: 92 Age: 4yrs 1mths 0wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Major, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
