My story

DOB: March 29th, 2017 Meet Lincoln: a sweet, sensitive soul with a heart full of potential. His cautious nature makes him appear reserved at first, but with patience and understanding, Lincoln blossoms into a curious, energetic companion who wants to be involved in everything that happens around him. He may not jump in right away, but he’ll always be nearby, quietly observing and keeping an eye on the world from a safe distance. Once Lincoln feels comfortable and secure in his environment, his playful side comes to life. He loves to chase his own tail, often giving it a loving lick when he catches it. This quirky little habit is just one of the ways Lincoln shows his fun, lighthearted personality once he’s settled in. He’s not just a passive observer; he has a genuine interest in what's happening around him and can’t help but get involved, even if it’s just from a cautious distance. While he’s generally calm and relaxed, sudden and loud noises do disturb him. Thunder outside will prompt a growl from Lincoln, and fireworks down the street will send him into hiding for the rest of the night. He’s a sensitive guy, and his ideal home is one that’s quiet, stable, and predictable—no surprises or sudden changes, just a peaceful atmosphere where he can stay calm and not be startled. Lincoln has some cute eating habits, too. He’ll start his meal with enthusiasm, but before finishing, he’ll take a little walk around his familiar surroundings. Once he's had his fill of exploring, he’ll return to finish his meal. When it comes to affection, cuddling on the neck of his human is Lincoln’s absolute favorite thing in the world. If you're lucky enough to be his person, he’ll nuzzle up to you and stay close, often napping on any soft surface that’s nearby. Whether it’s a cozy couch or a soft blanket, he loves being close to his human while he rests. Lincoln’s ideal human is someone patient, considerate, and understanding. He needs a person who can respect his boundaries and provide a safe space for him to grow and explore. With gentle encouragement, Lincoln can be coaxed into venturing outside his comfort zone, but only when he feels ready. In return for your kindness and respect, he will reward you with his love and trust, forming a bond that will deepen over time. If you’re looking for a cat who thrives on patience and quiet companionship, Lincoln could be the perfect match for you. He’s ready to find that special someone who will give him the time he needs to truly feel at home Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $225.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lincoln, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
