My story

***SENIOR ALERT***Meet Max! He is an 11yr old neutered male Alaskan Husky that weighs 74lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/20 as a stray. He has such a kind gentle and loving soul, but it`s clear he hasn`t had the best life. His grooming has not been kept up, and has quite a bit of matting throughout his coat. He enjoys being petted and loved on, and didn`t mind us brushing him in areas that were not matted. He walks very well on a leash, takes treats gently and I feel he may have been housetrained at one time. He may be hard of hearing or deaf as he was not responsive to loud noises. Max came into the shelter with another dog and is currently kenneled with him. As we walked past other dogs barking at him he did not show any aggression yet we do ask if there will be another dog in the home please ask the shelter for a dog test. Max loves to go for walks and enjoys showing me the way. He would make a great family companion, where he has a secured backyard to walk through, then come back inside to snore the night away on his own fluffy dog bed.
