My story

Meet Quincy Bones! Quincy Bones is a happy go lucky boy who loves to greet you with a dazzling smile and wiggly body. Quincy was found as a stray in Philly and was said to be very friendly by his finder. Since getting to the shelter he has made friends with volunteers who say he is very handler oriented! Quincy is now available for adoption and foster at ACCT Philly - you can meet him any day from 10am-6pm! If you're interested in fostering, please email foster@acctphilly.org Video: QB knows sit: https://youtu.be/uUF5i8bRarM Cuddling with QB: https://youtu.be/8NAlSmyjIbI Playgroup 4/25: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcnvoGYrJkIYoVksB2sgCb1DNgqiKRbuk Playgroup 4/21 Raine, Royal Blue, Marvin, Quincy Bones https://youtu.be/AMTMNZ9wP5U Playgroup 4/21 Raine, Royal Blue, Marvin, Quincy Bones 2 https://youtu.be/FWIT5-v1EDM Playgroup 4/21 Raine, Royal Blue, Marvin, Quincy Bones, Douglas https://youtu.be/eeJWSGAO0n4 Playgroup 4/21 Raine, Royal Blue, Marvin, Quincy Bones, Douglas 2 https://youtu.be/czyTrKYy9B4 Playgroup 4/21 Raine, Royal Blue, Marvin, Quincy Bones, Douglas 3 https://youtu.be/etkz6FbAJJc Playgroup 4/21 Raine, Royal Blue, Marvin, Quincy Bones, Douglas, Sasha Jennings https://youtu.be/Hmt9ytOSYuY Playgroup 4/21 Raine, Royal Blue, Marvin, Quincy Bones, Douglas, Sasha Jennings 2 https://youtu.be/zJn9cIrLjlU Behavior: Per Volunteer 4/25/25: He was very easy to leash and really great on leash as well! He walks confidently but checks in with his handler. Outside, he was very comfortable around me and took pets all over. He is super gentle taking treats and seems to know basic commands like sit. He met other dogs through the fence and had a very loose body and mid-level wagging tail. No issues with handling and went back into his kennel easily. I’m bumping down to green level Playgroup 4/22/25: Noted redirection risk with shake can when testing steering at the gate: low growling, redirected toward handler. While waiting to get into the yard: energetic mid level wags, forward posture toward dogs on the other side of the fence, bowing, vocalizing. Rushed into yard and greeted Meridian and Bianca with mid level wags. Soon after Bianca was removed from the yard, launched into push-pull play with Meridian. Appropriately corrected Kent after repeated attempts to mount. Remained low-key, sociable with Chase and Quincy and Midnight Moe after the incident between Valentine and Chase. Attempted to mount Chase once or twice but respected Chase's space after he scooted away. Repeated attempts to mount Chase when QB got aroused (around other playing dogs, etc.) Per Staff 4/21/25: BEHAVIOR EVALUATION: Quincy Bones KNOWN HISTORY: Stray KENNEL PRESENTATION: Quincy was at the door with a loose body and a mid level wagging tail. He was easy to leash and came right out once secured. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally to moderately HANDLING : Quincy was super rowdy and playful with a loose body. He allowed all the handling and came when called. He can be a bit rough but regulates himself. He is a super outgoing and goofy boy with puppy energy. He has no spacial awareness and lacks boundaries. He is a big goof with lots of love to give and solstice for all the love he can take. PLAY: Interest TOYS: Did not attempt COLOR LEVEL & ANY RECOMMENDATIONS: Gold Play group 4/21/25: Quincy Bones was steerable at the gate and friendly with a mid level wagging tail. He was playful with a push and pull play style. He remained pretty social but began mounting multiple dogs. He took the corrections well but continued with every dog in the yard. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. If you are a rescue interested in pulling this animal, please email our lifesaving team, or visit here if you are not currently a rescue partner: https://acctphilly.org/acct-philly-love-local-partnership-program/ Confirmed placement is considered a confirmation of an actual rescue pull.
