My story

Hi there, I’m Little Debbie, a 5-year-old, 14-pound Chihuahua mix with a heart as big as my ears! Life hasn’t always been easy for me, but I’m finally ready to find my forever home and be someone’s loyal little shadow. Not long ago, I was left outside a public library in Orange County with my one-week-old puppies and their dad, Entenmann. We were just dropped off with all of our belongings and walked away. Thankfully, kind people stepped in, and TAP came to our rescue. The very next day, a wonderful human drove out to bring us to safety, my babies and I went to one loving foster home, and my babies daddy went to another. Now that I’ve done the hard work of being a mama, I’m looking forward to a new chapter where I get to be doted on! I’m potty trained, crate trained, and I walk fine on a leash. I do have some dental issues, so I eat soft food for now, but that doesn’t slow me down when it comes to snuggles or couch time! I’m a mellow girl who just wants to be near my people. My absolute favorite thing in the world is sitting on the couch next to you, soaking up love and pets. I also enjoy a nice walk and the occasional floppy stuffed toy. I can be a little yappy when other dogs get too close on walks, but with calm, slow introductions, I’ve lived peacefully with another relaxed dog. I’m still adjusting, so once I’m not in mama mode, I may be more open to making doggy (or even kitty) friends, especially if they give me space. Kids? Oh, I love kids! I light up around them and would adore a home where there are people around most of the time to keep me company. I’ll whimper a little when you leave the house, but I settle down pretty quickly. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly, low-key companion who wants to be your best friend and constant sidekick, I just might be your girl. I gave my all to my puppies — now it’s my turn to be loved and spoiled the way I deserve. Let’s cuddle soon? My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
