My story

MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Hi! I’m Gino, a 6-month-old, 34lb Jack Russell-Pitbull Terrier mix looking for my forever family. I’m a professional snuggler, snack enthusiast, and certified Good Boy in training. I’m a smart cookie and super easy to train, especially if you’re paying with treats. I’ll do just about anything for a nibble — sit, stay, high five, maybe even write a novel. Kidding! (Unless there’s peanut butter involved.) I’m what you might call "selectively outdoorsy." Sunshine and cool breezes? Count me in. I love to sit on the porch and watch the world go by. But the moment the wind picks up or a raindrop hits my fur? Nope. I’m out. Straight back to my cozy kingdom where the blankets are warm and the cuddles are endless. I may be super smart, but I’m still learning a lot. For example, I thought sticks and pinecones were nature’s toys — turns out, they’re not. Who knew? I've discovered that I really like toys that make crinkle noises. They are my new favorite! I'm potty trained and keep my crate clean. I’m still working on walking nicely on a leash, but I’m getting the hang of it. Also, I bounce. Like, a lot. It’s all in good fun, but we’re practicing the “off” command to keep my spring-loaded energy in check. I get along well with other dogs, kids, and even cats. I love everybody, but if you’ve got snacks and snuggles, we’re going to be best friends. If I sound like the perfect fit for your family, fill out an application to meet me ASAP! If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
