*** Ginger Grant is in a foster home. ***Ginger #19668: orange/white tabby, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 1/1/22 Cats: probablyokayDogs: unknownChildren: calm gentle kids BACKGROUND: Ginger Grant was found pregnant and trying to fend for herself; she showed up at a colony of cats who are overseen and fed by a caretaker. Ginger delivered her babies very shortly after arriving in foster care, but unfortunately they were all stillborn. Thankfully Ginger herself was in good health, and she hopes to find herself a loving home very soon! PERSONALITY: This sweetheart has the most expressive and communicative eyes! Ginger Grant has had a lot of recent changes in her life, and while she appreciates a little acclimation time, even when first meeting strangers she will sniff their hands and then be good with getting scritches. She adores scritches! Ginger will head-butt you or rub against your ankles to let her desire for these pets be known. She’ll purr and stretch out on the floor exposing her belly as you give her a good massage and your fingertips hit the right spots! Sitting on your lap or next to you is great, particularly when you keep up the scritching magic, and she lets you pick her up no problem. Ginger is still shifting from maternal mode and hasn’t yet played much with toys, though just recently she has taken interest in small plush stuffed animals, and as time progresses and she settles into a stable home we think she will get more playful… and even more adorable. She really loves attention and people.COMPATIBILITY: We don’t fully know Ginger’s thoughts on other cats, dogs, or children. She didn’t seem concerned when seeing the resident cats through a gate in her foster home (the host felines weren’t feeling hospitable), so it is likely that she can blend with them. We think that she’d most likely be fine with calm and gentle kids.Ginger is ready to show her love and appreciation, asking only that you make sure to give her plenty of the scritches in return. Sounds like a win-win!
