Name:   Taly         Best Guess for Breed:  Terrier / Corgi mix   Best Guess for Age:  3 years as of 4/18/2025         SEX:   female   Approximate Weight:  16.2 lbs   Gets Along With:  other dogs. We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Vieques, PR shelter - Taly needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get here on May 3!    Special adoption considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   See a video of this cutie here! - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hmdFDbJbSJA   Taly is Looking For:   Someone who is looking for a small, active dog! Taly is a lively and playful dog that loves to engage with her humans. now that spring weather is here, Taly can't wait to go on long walks and visit the dog park where she can run off-leash with other dogs. She's a smart girl who will need to be kept busy. Dogs with herding ancestors weren't meant to sit around all day.   Training will be fun for both of you as the small terriers are known for their intelligence and ability to learn new things quickly. Taly may love chasing balls, learning tricks, or even agility courses. Try a bit of everything and see what she likes best!    What My Foster Says About Me: We will update as soon as Taly arrives and spends some time with a foster. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
