My story

Sugar is a sweet and spunky 10-pound Yorkie mix who adores being the center of attention and soaking up all the love she can get. She’s happiest when curled up in a warm lap, being carried like the little princess she knows she is, or enjoying her favorite snacks. Sugar is house trained and crate trained—especially when her mama, Glitter, is with her. A soft blanket draped over the crate helps her feel extra safe and cozy. Sugar shares an adorable bond with Glitter, and the two love to play, cuddle, and nap together. Like her mom, Sugar has not been tested with cats but is expected to do well. She hasn’t been around children, but would likely do fine with gentle, respectful kids who understand how to interact with small dogs. Sugar’s playful personality and loving nature make her an ideal addition to a quiet, affectionate home—especially one that’s ready to welcome both her and Glitter. Glitter is Sugar’s mama, and their bond is something truly special. They need to be adopted as a pair so they can continue to bring each other comfort and companionship. Their combined adoption fee is $500, plus a $15 rabies fee per dog for McLean County residents.  She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
