My story

We are seeking a foster to adopt home for Coolio. Coolio is an around six month old Flat Coat Retriever mix. He was caught after being dumped on the side of the road with his sibling. Typical of puppies who aren’t appropriately exposed to people and life, Coolio is a fearful baby. He wants to love but that love has to come slowly and at his pace. Once he is comfortable, he bounces and tags his whole body. He gets along with everything but a cat companion would need to be very dog savvy. He is crate trained and working on housetraining. He doesn’t comfortably walk on a leash and would require a fenced in yard. He doesn’t do well with fast movements and loud noises, so a home without small children would be a best match for him. He will require another stable energy dog to help him adjust. Coolio is going to be a bigger dog. *** All animals in the home must be up to date on vaccinations, flea/heartworm prevention and spay/neutered.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Coolio, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
