Toksha

My story

Toksha appreciates attention and petting but has been moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. She will likely need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.A volunteer writes: Toksha used to love to snuggle up in bed with her family and follow them around the house. She's trying to hold onto who she was, but settling into shelter life hasn't been the easiest for her. When I opened the door to her condo, Toksha came racing to the front to greet me before hopping back to her cubby. Thinking for a moment, Toksha came out again... only to leap to her top condo ledge. I know very well that making new friends is a process and so is sorting through change. Change, of course, happens, though accepting that fact often doesn't make it any easier. Toksha has let us know that, although she likes us to visit and will often stay at the front of her condo to explain this, she's also keen to keep visits short. She's sorting through some things at the moment and it's important to look at the whole. Brought to us due to her persons' housing issues, Toksha has been a very well loved cat and she certainly will be again. Primary Color: Tabby Weight: 8.9 Age: 2yrs 1mths 0wks
