My story

Bella is a stunning 7 month old kitten that came into our rescue when her owner's living situation changed. Bella was a solo kitten before she came to us and definitely embodies the solo kitten attitude. We have been working hard to help her learn how to play gently (and nicely with other cats) but it is taking time as this is something kittens are meant to learn from their littermates when they are much younger. Bella has come a long way, especially with her biting and sneak attacking, but needs to find a home with a patient adopter who will continue working with her as she grows. She is currently in a foster home with other cats and dogs and is doing well. Bella needs to go to a home that has another cat, so that she can continue learning good bahavior and habits. Ideally, the other animals in the home would have strong, alpha-type personalities and be willing to put Bella in her place when she crosses the line. She loves to play - but she plays ROUGH! Because she can nip, Bella should not go to a home with young children. Now for the good stuff! Bella is extremely social and likes to be around humans as much as she can. She will curl up with us on the couch or in bed at night. If no one is around to snuggle, she loves to find a cozy nook against our two big labradors and steal their body heat. She has no fear when it comes to dogs and likes to both play and snuggle with them. Bella is extremely athletic and a super playful kitten. She loves all the toys and climbs up wherever she can to get the highest vantage point. Bella is a huge fan of paper towels - so don't leave rolls unattended or she might unravel them and make herself a little bed.  Bella is a truly beautiful kitten, inside and out, and while she may have missed out on the opportunity to learn about proper socialization, she certainly tries her hardest to behave and loves every moment she can spend with her people. If you are willing to be patient with her, we are sure she is going to reward you with her love and affection for years to come! She is ready to meet her forever family, both human and animal, and settling into her forever life.  Cats are negative for FelV/FIV, receive age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped (free lifetime registration with adoption). All of our pets go home with a "Go Home Goody Bag" that includes a starter supply of food, treats, toys, and a voucher for a free month of pet insurance from Trupanion. Location: Glastonbury, CTAdoption Fee: $300 ##2294249##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bella, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
