My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I lived with children in my previous home.I am finding the shelter a bit overwhelming. Outside one-on-one I am a great big cuddle bug.Silva appreciates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.A volunteer writes: Silva wants to talk about how he's become a picture of progress, so he waits at the front and stretches his paws up his condo door in hopes someone will notice and ask. For a while each visit with Silva would result in him cocooning himself in his den until I left. Now he's tucking his head into my hand and trying to leap over my arms, ready to tell the other kitties that it's all going to be ok. Silva's big personality has come out in a spirited burst and we love it. He's a big cuddler who prefers to lean his whole side into my arm as he reaches his paws out. And, in the spirit of trying new things, Silva recently told us that he also really, really loves to play. What he lacks in accuracy, he makes up for in enthusiasm.
