What my friends at ACC say about me:Coco appreciates attention and petting but has been somewhat fearful or stressed in the shelter. He will likely need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior. Due to the behavior shown, he may not be a great fit for young children. Any home with older children prepared to adopt this cat should conduct a thorough interaction and endeavor to monitor this cat around their children to prevent these behaviors from being reinforced.A volunteer writes: When are the Olympics? Asking for Coco whose dedicated work on his somersaults is about to win him some medals. Age is just a number, but a number nonetheless, and Coco's style of somersaults is kind of like a half one where he tucks his head into my hand and pauses for the applause he knows is coming. Looking up at me with his eyes bright and full of hope, he knows it doesn't always. He still wants it to though. Coco knows that at 12 he has to work just a tiny bit harder at his craft than the kittens, but he's ready to do just that. He was brought to us with some existing medical issues and though he could use a hand in resolving these, he's ready for another chance. Maybe the Olympics aren't exactly the right fit for him, but we're sure that a forever family is. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 13.4375 Age: 12yrs 1mths 0wks
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Coco, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
