My story

How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by a community member. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Juneau, a sweet, sensitive dog looking for a special person to help him build confidence and feel safe in the world! He can be fearful in new situations and needs someone who will go slow with him, offering patience, understanding and a gentle approach as he adjusts. Once he has established you as a friend, his playful side shines and he loves to lean into your lap for pets! Juneau would likely thrive in a quiet, low-traffic household where his days can unfold calmly and predictably. A home in a peaceful neighborhood, paired with an attached private yard, would be ideal - giving him space to explore at his own pace without overwhelming stimuli. While he may not be ready to stroll busy sidewalks just yet, Juneau would benefit from a gradual, positive introduction to walking on leash in a secure, private area. With time, trust and love, Juneau has the potential to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. If you're ready to welcome this sweet boy into your heart and home, inquire about him today! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!AT BEHAVIOR CENTER: This animal is receiving a little extra support from specialized Caregivers and an assigned Trainer. To begin the adoption process and trainer-facilitated interaction, please reach out to us directly at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org and provide a good callback number. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 40 Age: 1yrs 6mths 0wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Juneau, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
