My story

Meet Princess Buttercup (aka Dolly): The Snuggly Royal with a Spirited Side and a Heart of Gold!Dolly is a one-year-old sweetheart who truly lives up to her royal nickname. With her big expressive ears, unique markings, and an absolutely irresistible smile, she's a head-turner wherever she goes. Her story began when she was abandoned at a gas station-but thanks to a kind Good Samaritan who cared for her for two months, Dolly is now crate trained, knows commands like sit, come, and kennel, and is eager to learn more (especially if treats are involved!).This playful princess is full of energy and affection. She loves to say hello with big enthusiastic jumps, but she's quick to learn and always wants to please. She's food motivated, which makes training a breeze. Dolly is great with kids over 7 years old and gets along well with other dogs, especially smaller ones-she made an instant, fast friendship with a little guy named St. Benedict, and the two had a blast racing and playing together. However, Dolly has a bit of a strong personality-she can be an overcorrector in play, using snapping to set boundaries with her doggy friends. This means she'd do best in a home with dogs who are confident and respectful of her style, or with someone ready to help her learn gentle communication. She's not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home is a must. One thing to keep in mind-Dolly can be a door dasher! She's curious and fast, so watchful eyes and continued training are important to keep her safe (and prevent any unintended adventures). If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Snuggly Princess Buttercup / Dolly 259175." She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brindle- Brown Weight: 45.5 Age: 1yrs 4mths 2wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Snuggly Princess Buttercup/dolly, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
