My story

Isla (FKA Champagne) is an energetic snuggle bug with a heart full of love and a weakness for belly rubs. This girl is as sweet as she is playful—she’ll chase after toys - and maybe destroy a few - then roll right over for cuddles and affection. She’s had a rough start—left outside and eventually surrendered—but Isla hasn’t lost her sparkle. She’s friendly, gentle, and just starting to discover how good life can be with people who care. Isla walks nicely on leash. She’s playful, loving, and cuddly. Isla is ready for her forever home and a fresh start Come meet Isla at ACCT Philly, open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. She loves toys but will probably tear them up as she started to do that with a rope toy. She’s so cute. 04/13/2025 volunteer notes: had a great time getting Champagne out for a little while today. Here are some photos and videos of her having a nice time in the yard ◡̈ 04/13/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Champagne was super wiggly in her kennel and allowed the handler to reach in and leash her easily. Once secured she came right out. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimal HANDLING : In the room, Champagne was loose and wiggly, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and loose body. She was super friendly, going up with soft eyes and jumping up for pets. She allowed all handling and was super sweet. She took treats very gently and allowed us to touch all over her as she ate her treats. PLAY: Engaged in play TOYS: Minimal interest 04/12/2025 staff ntoes, Playgroup: Loose, relaxed, wiggly during gate greetings. Steerable with spray and shake can. Push/pull play. Appropriately corrected King Leo twice for mounting attempts (which KL didn't respect).
