My story

Matilda, Lady Meatball, loves toys. She loves people and dogs too! When she’s really excited, she does a happy dance. Matilda (Tillie to her friends) looks like a lady with her tuxedo and fancy white gloves and socks, but truth be told, she’s so silly, she’s pure meatball! She doesn’t like taking baths or sharing her treats, but she’s learning how to do both. Tillie was found roaming the streets of Nogales, Arizona wearing a walking harness. At the Santa Cruz County shelter, she waited for three weeks for her family to find her but nobody turned up. Tillie is a 50-lb, 1-2 year old pittie mix. She has been spayed and vaccinated. Potty-trained and crate-trained, she would do great with sturdy kids. On hikes with her foster mom and foster dog friends, she doesn’t react much to the wildlife, giving us the impression that she might be okay with cats.
