My story

Mauricio M, 3 years Mauricio (aka Mau—Mau) was found living on the streets of Mexico. He is a sweet, gentle soul that deserves a forever home! Since living indoors, he has been described as a bit of a homebody, enjoying lounging around, and enjoys quiet companionship. He is still learning how to play with toys and for now all he likes to play with is any type of string toy. Mauricio prefers to be pet on his own terms, but really loves chin  and head scratches when it's time. However, this mature guy knows what he likes and doesn't like (forced attention, picked up, and pet on his belly, back, tail base, or hing legs). You could say his love language is not touch! It's possible he had some former trauma to cause this, but learning his pace and comforts are as easy as somebody learning your own. Everyone is different, including cats! Mauricio is looking for a patient, calm and loving home where he can relax and be a part of the family.  Mauricio is interested in other cats so a kitty who might play or be his friend is ideal. He would do best in a home without dogs or young kids.  Mauricio did test positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but doesn't have any symptoms. He can live with other cats just fine as long as their is no aggressive behavior as its spread through deep bite wounds.
