My story

Chief is a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix who, despite his recent heartbreak, remains an incredibly sweet and loving dog. Unfortunately, he was surrendered to us when his owner had to move and couldn't find a place that would allow pets, a situation that’s especially tough on a dog like Chief, who has clearly been well-loved and cared for. In the short time he’s been with us, Chief has already shown what a wonderful companion he is—he’s affectionate, well-mannered, and easygoing. Chief is incredibly well-mannered and adaptable. He’s house trained and crate trained, which means he’s comfortable in his living space and understands boundaries. His leash manners are impeccable. He's good with dogs, cats, and children. He’s also been around farm animals and is respectful toward them. Chief is food motivated, which makes him eager to learn and easy to train. He knows his basic commands and is always ready to please. What stands out most about Chief is his sweet, gentle nature. He loves attention and enjoys being around his people. He’s calm and mild-mannered, yet playful when the mood strikes. Despite the confusion of his situation, Chief has remained loving and trusting, and he truly deserves a second chance at a forever home.
