Dipper

My story

Poor Dipper just can’t seem to catch a break! But we just know his perfect forever family is out there waiting for him! This 2.5-year-old hound mix has been through more homes than any dog should, and yet, he remains the happiest, most loving pup. Dipper first came to us in November 2023 when his original owner was forced to surrender him due to a change in their lease’s pet policy. Not long after, he was adopted into a new home, but unfortunately, his owner’s work schedule changed, leaving them unable to give Dipper the time and attention he needed. When he was adopted again, we hoped this would be his final, happy ending—but just a couple of months later, his family had to move and couldn’t take him along. Now, Dipper is back with us, still waiting for the loving, committed family he truly deserves. Despite everything, Dipper remains an absolute joy to be around! He has a fantastic personality—outgoing, affectionate, and always ready to engage with his people. He’s playful and energetic, with a special love for toys and treats (he’s highly food-motivated, which makes training a breeze!). Throughout his life, he has lived with children, other dogs, cats, and even livestock—and he’s done well with all of them. He’s a social butterfly who loves car rides, exploring new places, and making new friends. Dipper does need a little help with leash manners—he’s a "pedal to the metal" kind of guy who gets excited to go on adventures. But with consistency and training, he’ll be an excellent walking or hiking companion. This sweet boy has been through so much, and it’s time for him to find a family that will love him forever.
