My story

Meet Todd, a sweet and cheerful boy, full of love and energy! He’s got a big body and an even bigger heart, and he’s still full of that playful puppy spirit. He hasn’t had any formal training yet and doesn’t quite know his name, but he’s super motivated by food and ready to connect. A handful of treats and a soft voice do wonders with him.His curiosity is delightful, but he’s not pushy at all. His short interaction with an elderly cat showed him to be curious and tender but not overbearing. He just wanted to know more!Todd is a calm and curious car passenger who settles in with a bit of guidance. He MAY have needed a gentle bottom-boost to get him in the vehicle, but he figured it out with a little help. His bark is absolutely stunning! It’s this powerful, rich sound that commands attention; it could definitely make anyone with bad intentions think twice. He roams the yard with purpose, always on the lookout but never looking to cause trouble. It's clear that he takes his role to heart, genuinely devoted to keeping his territory safe.Todd is a small dog trapped inside a large dog's body and his lack of situational awareness underscores this. He is not destructive, but joyfully curious to investigate spaces and may bump into things without realizing it.At day's end, he settles down into his crate quietly and snoozes the night away. His short-term fosters (**during his shelter stay**) referred to their time with Todd as "delightful chaos" and said he brought so much joy and laughter into their lives even in the little time they had him. They stressed how much potential they see in this sweet fella and emphasized what an amazing companion he would be for the right home; one that was filled with patience, love, and maybe some extra space for him to clomp around. We believe he probably needs a farm and seriously needs a friend because when he gets bored, he digs and starts looking at the top of the fence and barks A LOT.He seems to be potty trained (after the first few hours in the house). His adoption fee is $350 He is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, all the things. Apply for this young man online at MadisonARF.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Todd, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
