My story

Meet Grant, a 5-year-old mushball with the most soulful eyes and extra-wrinkly face you'll ever see. From the moment he steps out of his kennel, Grant is ready to soak up all the love-he'll happily climb into your lap or gently lean his whole weight against you for comfort. When he's in the yard, he puts himself right in your arms and never wants to leave.Grant came to us as a stray, so his history is a bit of a mystery, but his personality shines bright. Though he can be timid at first, with a slow and gentle approach, he warms up quickly and shows just how affectionate he is. Grant thrives on calm interactions and is learning to feel more confident through training games like engage/disengage, which help him focus and relax when other dogs are nearby.On walks, Grant sometimes gets worried around other dogs, especially when they're close, and his body may stiffen or his tail tuck. His handlers have been helping him practice creating space, checking in for treats or soft praise, and building positive experiences. Grant would do best in a home without young children.
