My story

Buck is a 4 year old, 65ish lb, male Golden Retriever looking for a home where he is the only dog/pet in the home. He was rescued by some good people, and say "I just took Buck in temporarily, as he had been abandoned in a house for 2 months. Someone I knew took him in, got him vetted, and was going to keep him but he is unfortunately not good with other dogs and she has a dog. She was going to take him to a pound, so I decided to give him a try to keep him out of a shelter, as he does very bad being alone and put up, he cry’s and howls. I have a foster dog and 4 cats and I was hoping it would work out but it’s not at all. Buck is very aggressive and has an extremely high prey drive and is just not good with any animals so unfortunately my house is not a good place for him. He is very loving and cuddly with people though. He has just been neglected his whole life and needs training and direction. He is a very good dog, if I didn’t have other animals I would love to keep him, I’ve always wanted a golden. But with having other animals I don’t have the time to be able to give him the training and attention he needs and deserves." Our GRRAND volunteer says: "I met Buck for the firsttime today and now I have a new bff! What a great dog! He is so friendly, fun, sweet, but not overly so. He loves a good sniff walk, run in the field, and snuggles."   We are still learning about Buck, so please check back for more info, but if you would like to meet him, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org   ##2356401##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Buck, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
