Madison

My story

Madison is one of the Spencer County hoarding dogs taken in by GRRAND last year in 2024. Madison is a beautiful, 7 year old, 60ish lb Lab/Golden mix. She is a sweet girl, that is still a little nervous, but accepts treats and loves to be petted. She does great with other dogs, but could be the only dog in a home. As with all the Spencer County dogs, she is a flight risk, so a secure above ground fenced yard is needed and no small children (who could accidentally leave a door open). Madison is ready to go to a home and will need the compassion and patience from her people to help her work through the adjustments of being in a home. A beacon of hope shines bright as GRRAND and animal advocates across the commonwealth collaborate to help rescue animals trapped in a devastating hoarding situation on a rural County Kentucky farm. Advocates eagerly await justice for the abused animals and the swift rescue of those still suffering in inhumane conditions.  It's awful to think of the terrible lives and abuse they have been subjected to. A litter of 4 week old puppies were found on the property and all had to be treated at the Emergency Vet for Parvo to save their lives and sadly, one did not make it.
