My story

Hey! I'm Lucky &#194&#151 The Undercover Cuddle Bug in Training! Hi there! I'm Lucky, about 1 year old and a Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix with a whole lot of potential (and maybe a dash of mystery). I came to the shelter on 4/7/25 after my old home just wasn't the right fit &#194&#151 turns out, I wasn't quite the best playmate for the kiddo there. When I first arrived, I was pretty scared and kind of hid in my shell. But guess what? I'm starting to poke my head out, thanks to some patient shelter staff who are helping me find my confidence one tail wag at a time! Now I'm even playing with toys and sneaking in some &#194&#147hey, can I have a pet?&#194&#148 moments when people are around. I'm looking for a family who's ready to be my cheerleader, helping me settle into a calm, loving home where I can really shine. I'm house and crate trained, and I get along well with other dogs (but a meet and greet is always a good idea to make sure we're buds). I'm neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative &#194&#151 basically, ready to roll! I have been searching for my furr ever home for 92 days as of 07/08/2025 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. Think you've got the patience and love to help me blossom? IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
