My story

Hi, I’m Keira! I’m a 1-year-old black lab, about 65 pounds of playful energy and pure snuggle power. I love playing chase and wrestling with my foster brother—I get super into it and make all kinds of silly growly, grumbly sounds when I play, but don’t worry, it’s not mean at all. It’s just how I talk when I’m having fun! After a good play session, I’m all about the couch cuddles. I’ll happily flop right on top of you and snooze for hours. I’m a quick learner! I figured out the stairs on my very first day in my foster home, and I keep picking up new things all the time. I’ve got a strong prey drive, so a home without cats would be best for me. I’m still learning the ropes when it comes to walks, sometimes I can’t resist picking up interesting things along the way, but we're working on that. I’m about 95% house trained! When I was rescued, I didn’t really know I was supposed to go outside, but I’ve come a long way. Just know that I might need a little patience adjusting in a new place, some regression is normal while I get used to everything. Car rides make me a bit nervous, and I drool when I’m unsure, but I’m trying to be brave. I haven’t spent much time around kids, so I’m not sure how I’d do but with a little time and gentle introductions, I think it would be good! If you're looking for a goofy, loving, velcro dog who’ll make you laugh and keep you warm on the couch, I just might be your girl. Let’s meet soon I’m ready for my forever family!
