My story

Meet Woody Wrangler! Woody Wrangler is a 9-year-old, 9-pound sweetie who was originally adopted from the San Diego Humane Society in 2016. Sadly, Woody found himself back in the shelter this year after his previous owner surrendered him, citing a lack of time. He spent much of his time crated and isolated—but now, Woody is rediscovering the joys of companionship, comfort, and belly rubs! Woody went on a two-week Frosted Fling, giving us a chance to learn more about him in a home setting—and he blossomed! His fling family, who describes Woody as "pretty darn near perfect!" extended their time together to 5 weeks. Here is what we've learned from Woody's foster family: Personality & Behavior: Woody is a cuddly, social pup who quickly bonds with his people. He adores attention and is a true snuggler—he’ll happily curl up in your lap or burrow under the covers next to you. While he’s calm and mellow indoors, he still has bursts of playful puppy-like energy, especially when it comes to toys or outdoor fun. He has excellent house manners, sleeps through the night, and knows basic commands like sit, no, and go to your bed. He’s also wonderfully expressive, giving little grumbles when he wants something - usually to be picked up or if he wants some food or attention. Coupled with his sweet eyes and floppy ears, it's hard to say no! Ideal Home: Woody would do best in a home where he’s not left alone for long periods. He gets along well with small dogs and does great with the two he lives with in his foster home. However, Woody does not do well with large dogs and is leash-reactive to unfamiliar dogs when out walking. Woody's favorites: * Belly rubs (he’ll even position himself for your convenience!) * Lounging in the sun * Playing fetch and chasing toys * Cuddling and being close to his people * Walks—short or long, he’s happy to trot alongside! Woody is a joyful little companion who deserves a home that values both his gentle soul and his playful energy. After spending too much of his life alone, he’s more than ready to be a cherished member of a loving family. Could you be the one to give Woody the loving forever home he’s been waiting for? To meet this very special boy, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Woody Wrangler, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
