My story

Meet Bess! Bess entered the Humane Society of Imperial County as a stray, and when she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up to become a Frosted Face on February 13th. Bess is estimated to be 13 years old, and she weighs 8 lbs. Two days after Bess arrived, she was chosen to go on a two-week Frosted Fling. She's such a good girl that she is still there, 2.5 months later! While Bess has been soaking up lots of love and attention in the comfort of her fling home, we've been learning all about her. Bess's Fling Mom shares: "Bess is such a perfect girl! I love how calm and mellow she is. Bess enjoys being around her people but is also okay being left with her foster sister while I’m at work. I check up on her throughout the day through our camera and every time she’s fast asleep. When we’re home, Bess enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood and exploring the yard. She loves to lay out in the sun. She is perfect during bath time and great in the car. Bess is a BIG foodie! She eats breakfast, lunch and dinner and she’ll let me know it’s time to eat because she will start to lick her empty bowl! Bess loves everyone! While being with us, Bess has been around men, women, kids and even young toddlers and is great around everyone. Bess is perfect around other animals! She is so good with our bunny and chihuahua. She loves to cuddle up to her foster sister and shows no interest in the bunny! It’s the simple things in life that make Bess a happy girl and even an easy dog. All she asks for is good food, a walk or yard for her to explore and most importantly a comfortable bed. I enjoy having Bess home with us, and I love her so much.
