My story

Meet Steep – Your Friendly, Affectionate Companion Steep is an 8-year-old, 66-pound gentleman with a heart full of love. He walks well on a leash, enjoying leisurely strolls while taking in his surroundings. Steep is treat motivated but prefers to receive them with a flat palm, as he can be a bit snatchy when grabbing treats. He’s friendly and polite when meeting new people and is non-reactive to other dogs, making him an easygoing companion in various settings. Steep is the definition of a laid-back buddy – he’s affectionate, enjoys being close to his people, and is happiest just hanging out by your side. If you're looking for a calm, loving dog who will offer you nothing but companionship and affection, Steep might be your perfect match. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
