My story

Meet Harp – The Happy-Go-Lucky Companion You've Been Waiting For! At 1.5 years old and 36 pounds, Harp is the perfect blend of spunky and sweet. Once she gets her initial kennel energy out, she settles into a lovely medium-energy groove, making her a great match for someone who enjoys a playful, affectionate dog without the constant chaos of a high-energy pup. Harp knows how to “sit” and takes treats with gentle manners. She’s not overly clingy, but she clearly loves being near her people—always close by, ready for a head scratch or some quiet company. She’s affectionate without being all over you, striking just the right balance between independence and connection. One of Harp’s absolute favorite activities is playing fetch! She lights up when the ball comes out and will happily chase it down again and again. It’s a great way for her to burn off some energy and share a joyful moment with her favorite humans. She’s pretty good on leash in low-distraction areas, walking calmly and staying focused when things are calm around her. Harp is also a dream in the car—calm, relaxed, and happy to come along for the ride. She seems to be on her way to being house trained and shows signs of picking up routines quickly. And if you want a little entertainment? Harp’s got you covered with her impressive aerial spins when she’s excited—it’s hard not to laugh watching her joyful twirls! With her sweet temperament, charming smile, and love of play, Harp is more than ready to find a forever home where she can shine. Come meet her—you just might find your perfect match.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Harp, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
