**This dog is eligible for the April Adopt-a-Thon promo! Listed adoption fee will be reduced by $200 for all eligible dogs adopted by 4/30/25.** Meet Duchess, a 9 week old female mixed breed puppy! Duchess is one of the D litter pups (Drake, Daisy, Darcy, Duchess, Dominick, and Demeter), born on 1/31/25. Sadly, their mom was hit by a car and killed when they were just 4 days old We think they are mixed with some kind of hound, and we expect them to grow to medium sized dogs (Duchess is the smallest pup in this litter, currently weighing about 8 lbs at 9 weeks old). Duchess is a typical happy, friendly puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs. From Duchess's current foster: "Looking for a puppy who’s full of love, affection, and cuteness?! Meet Duchess, an adorable 9-week-old puppy with the warmest personality! She is happy, eager to learn, playful, and oh so loving! She has been showing a growth in her confidence in our foster home alongside her brother. She gets along great with our resident bigger dogs and is just slightly more timid than other puppies! She loves people and would rather cuddle and kiss you than do anything else. She also loves a good game of tug with her brother! She is currently doing great with potty and crate training. Due to her smaller size, she needs more frequent bathroom breaks but can sleep through about 6 hours of the night at the moment! She would be best in a home with a confident older dog sibling but would also be good as a single dog with a family that wants to love on her. If you’re looking for a cuddle puppy, Duchess is your girl!" She is medically up to date (age appropriate), and working on crate training and housebreaking. Apply to meet this super sweet girl today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2356131##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Duchess, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
