My story

Meet Aurora, an approx. 1 year old female husky mix! She is absolutely stunning, and also smaller than she appears at just under 40lbs. Aurora came to us pregnant and was an excellent momma to 7 puppies (2 males, 5 females). Her puppies have reached the age that they are available to be adopted or have gone to their new homes, and now Aurora is also ready to find a home to call her own! Aurora is a friendly pup who gets along with dogs, people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. She's a sweet girl who is looking for an active family, she won't disappoint!  She is medically up to date (has an appt to be spayed), housebroken, and crate trained. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
