Hi there! My name is Dobby, and here is some info you need to know about me:Breed: Jack Russell terrierAge: 4 yearsGender: maleHeight: 35 cm Weight: 10 kg Highlights: sweet, friendly, Cuddly, playful Hi, I’m Dobby—Can You Be My Forever? I don’t remember what it feels like to be safe. For as long as I can remember, I was tied to a pole on a busy street, watching life pass me by.https://youtube.com/shorts/Vo1V75r5Zfo?si=Mn9Ya2r3FtagCSCW The people who kept me didn’t love me. They barely even saw me. I was just… there. Through the burning summers and the freezing winters, I stayed in the same spot, waiting for something—anything—to change. I don’t know how I survived. Some days, I thought I wouldn’t. But somehow, I held on.Then, one day, my life did change. Someone saw me. Really saw me. Now, I’m safe. I have food, a warm place to sleep, and people who treat me gently. But I’m still waiting. I’m waiting for a home where I’ll never again wonder if I’m wanted.I love people, even after everything I’ve been through. I'm even sweet and calm when I go to the vet!https://youtube.com/shorts/NE9oIiJ45Wo?si=nTsRnUGohAjWwRWt I love dogs too! They teach me how to play, how to trust. But cats? Well… let’s just say I like to chase them a little too much. I’m coming to Canada soon, hoping to find the family I’ve never had. I don’t need much—just love, kindness, and a promise that I’ll never be forgotten again. Could that family be yours? I’ve been waiting my whole life for someone like you. Energy level: moderate Prey Drive: I like to chase cats, but it is mostly to play with them. I will need patience to get used to my new environment. gets along with: Other dogs: yesCats: no kids: yes Fears: none observed, however, I will need patience to get used to my new environment Training: someLeash training: I walk well on leash. https://youtube.com/shorts/Q6ceJv7FEpA?si=DDf8o_QhgO0kw0HFHouse trained: I will need patient training Health notes: I have been neutered, vaccinated, and Microchipped. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2355984##
