My story

This striking young lady is Jane, named after the iconic author Jane Austen, and mama to our litter named after characters featured in Jane Austen’s novels. After being a wonderful mom to 9 sweet puppies, Jane is ready to settle down and write the next chapter of her own story, one where she’s the main character for once! Whether it was her stunning blue eye, gorgeous brindle coat, or adorable floppy ears that initially drew you to Jane, she’s so much more than just her pretty looks! Jane is sweet, silly, playful, and smart. She’s an incredible companion and such a fun friend to have around. Jane loves snoozing on the couch, or laying in a patch of sun, and can spend most of her day relaxing. If you’re looking for a reading buddy, or someone to sit with you while you binge your next reality TV show – Jane is your girl! She can also be energetic if an occasion calls for it and enjoys playing with toys or romping around the yard. She loves to chase a tennis ball and her zoomies are the cutest. Miss Jane can be quite shy at first, but with a proper introduction and some time for her to get comfortable she’ll open up and show you her goofy side – and it is the best! She loves treats and praise, and she’s very affectionate. If she hears sweet talking, the crinkle of a treat bag, or even if she has a happy thought, her tail will start thumping. Jane also is a big fan of ear scratches and belly rubs! Jane has been doing great with house training and crate training. She’s a smart girl who listens well and loves treats so she’s a fast learner! She gets along well with other dogs, and would do best in a home with another dog. She has great leash manners and enjoys going for walks. She’s also well behaved in the car. Jane is heartworm positive, so she is available as part of our foster-to-adopt program. She can go to her new home at any time, and the rescue will cover the cost of her remaining treatments. It’s a truth universally acknowledged that every dog deserves an amazing home. If you think you’d be a great home for sweet Jane, apply today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jane, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
