Bonnie is a sweet approximately 1 year old Belgian Malinois mix who was rescued from a high kill Animal Shelter of Texas, where she spent 6 months, cooped up. She was only 9 months when she was rescued. Her two siblings sadly did not make it out of the shelter alive. Bonnie is a very sweet and highly energetic young girl that is kennel trained. She currently lives with three other dogs and 4 cats, but does test her boundaries when it comes to the cats. She is still young, so she is very active, loves toys and is very fast. Check out her video here : https://vimeo.com/1072010839?share=copy She loves kids, but might do best in a home with children that are slightly older than toddlers as she may knock them over. She is also highly trainable as she is a quick learner and food motivated. A home with a fully fenced yard would be mandatory for her, as well as a family who can dedicate time, patience and love. She needs to be fed separately from other dogs as she was starved as a puppy and then had to fend for her food in the shelter before her kennel mates took them away. Bonnie is currently about 40 pounds. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. Her adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness, leash, and Interstate Health Certificate for our out of state adopters. Sweet Bonnie is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. To meet this gorgeous girl via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, and the ones who are taken to our shelters, where they are euthanized if they are not rescued or adopted. By adopting one of our pups, you are actually saving two lives - the one they adopt, the one who takes their space in the foster home.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bonnie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
