❤️ What’s LOVE Got to Do with It? EVERYTHING!!! Duh! ❤️ Cupcake. Jellybean. Butterball. Er, I paw-mise I’m not trying to tempt you into breaking your New Year’s resolution…those are just some of the fun nicknames my adoring volunteer fans insist on calling me! 😁😂 Hello, I’m the irresistibly sweet Thelma and I’m all about that silly, mysterious emotion called LOVE! 🥰 I’m an extra-affectionate and happy-go-lucky Hound mix girl. I’m about four years old and weigh in at about 57 lbs of the coziest cuddles, cutest butt wiggles and heartwarming-est kisses. 😘 When we meet, you’ll go “awwwwww....” because I’ll leave you with a great first impression! I wonder what you’ll love about me first—my bubbly, affectionate personality? My beautiful and sleek tan coat? Maybe this dazzling smile? These cute, floppy bunny ears? Or my amber puppy eyes that’ll steal your heart? 🥰 Spend a little time with me and I’ll have you smiling at my innocent, goofy antics. Whether I’m prancing around the yard with a stuffy toy or ball, quietly watching the doggos in the adjacent yards, or running back to you to lean on you and score some snuggles and belly rubs so you don’t miss me too much in the 5 seconds I’ve been gone, you’ll be completely smitten. ❤️ I know how to “Sit” and will come running back to you when you call me—especially if you throw in some baby-talk. 😂 And I’m good on the leash too and will check in with you every now and then during our walkies. My volunteer fans say I seem very eager to please and form strong bonds quickly with people, thriving on their attention and affection. I love treats (not more than you, though!) and am very gentle when taking them from your hand. 🐶🐾 When I catch the scent of a squirrel or a rabbit, my inner Nancy Drew kicks into high gear, and I'm ready to lead the search party. Can't let that Ph.D. in Squirrel Spotting go to waste, eh? And because of this very, er, special talent, I may not be a good fit for a family with pet birds, other small pets or small farm animals. I love running the fence with my shelter doggo buddies, so if you have another fur-baby, bring them along for a supervised, on-leash meet-and-greet! 🐶🐶 Whether you need someone to go on silly adventures or to snuggle with you while you Netflix and chill, I doggo paw-mise to always be there for you. Let’s shake paws, make this love story official, and start our forever together. Pretty please ? 🥰 ** ** Thelma has a higher prey drive and is looking for a home without birds or other small pets ** ** She would best in a home without small children ** Thelma can be a little unsure about smaller kids, but if you're a grown-up or a teen, then we're sure you'd be friends! She may be open to living with another dog. If you already have another pup at home, we'll have you bring them to meet her prior to an adoption. Thelma may have a higher prey drive. Before she came to the shelter, she got into some trouble for chasing chickens. Because of this, as a precaution, we are looking for a home for her without small pets. Her adoption fee is $35 plus licensing (if applicable). She's an approximately 4-year-old, tan, Hound mix. She currently weighs 57 lbs. She is already vaccinated and will be microchipped and spayed before going to her new home.
