Paddy

My story

Paddy is a handsome young coonhound, about 2 years old. He's super friendly and playful, and a great snuggler too. Paddy gets along well with other dogs but might be exuberant on first meetings. He's food motivated, which is helpful for training, and has not shown any aggression. He had been living on a chain with only a plastic doghouse for shelter in the hills of Virginia. He is enjoying his newfound freedom and loves to run. He'll benefit from some obedience training and practice walking on a leash. He likes attention, giving hugs and getting petted. He's going to be a great hound companion! Paddy weighs about 55 lbs and is fostering on Cape Cod. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.
