Paddy

My story

Paddy is a handsome young coonhound, about 2 years old. He's super friendly and playful, and a great snuggler too. Paddy gets along well with other dogs but might be exuberant on first meetings. He would do best in a home with another playful dog and a fenced yard. He's food motivated, which is helpful for training, and has not shown any aggression. He had been living on a chain with only a plastic doghouse for shelter in the hills of Virginia. He is enjoying his newfound freedom and loves to run. He'll benefit from some obedience training and practice walking on a leash. He likes attention, giving hugs and getting petted. He's going to be a great hound companion! Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.
