My story

Shadow is a sleek black domestic shorthair with the quiet presence of an old soul. He’s the type of cat who seems to have seen it all and now prefers to take life at his own slow, steady pace. Whether he's perched in a window watching the world go by or curled up in a cozy corner, Shadow brings a sense of calm to any space he’s in. He’s not flashy or attention-seeking—Shadow is all about quiet companionship and peaceful vibes. He enjoys long naps, gentle pets, and simply being near his people. For anyone seeking a low-key, mellow friend who knows how to truly relax, Shadow is the perfect match. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
