My story

Meet Desi! This stunning 5-year-old, 60-pound spayed female Indian Native Dog (also known as a Desi Dog or Pye/ Pariah Dog) has striking markings and a heart full of love. Born on the streets of New Delhi, India, she was rescued as a puppy and brought to the U.S. at just six months old by Rescue Without Borders. Since then, she has blossomed into a loyal and affectionate companion. Unfortunately, her current family is unable to keep her any longer so Desi needs to find a forever home soon. Desi is fully house-trained and responsive to basic commands and leash cues. She has received extensive training at BostonDogtor and is even eligible for boarding. While she can be a bit anxious at times, she is intelligent, alert, and eager to bond with the right person. She enjoys the company of adults, balancing her love for quiet time with playful affection. She thrives in a home with experienced, dog-loving adults who enjoy outdoor adventures like long walks and nature hikes. Due to her selectiveness with other dogs and nervousness around young children, Desi would do best as the only pet in a calm, adult-only household.
