My story

Hi, I’m Evie, a 4-year-old Chihuahua blend who weighs 17 lbs. It may take a minute for you to win my heart, but once you do, I will always save a seat for you on the couch, always greet you at the door with 1000 enthusiastic tail wags, and give you all my love. I have loads of energy and am looking for an active home.  And, it would be a huge plus if my new home has another dog who is equal in size and playfulness.  General Behavior:  Evie's foster mom says that "Evie is the absolute SWEETEST".  Once she has decided that you are her people, she is a velcro dog who will follow you around the house. She recently met foster mom's mother and she instantly gravitated towards her.  She is very snuggly and affectionate and thrives on getting lots of well-deserved attention. Likes & Dislikes:  Evie greatly enjoys lots of snuggles and cuddles with her people. Lately, she has discovered a love for toys and she's been enjoying running around with her foster siblings and playing with her toys! Evie is a huge foodie and loves her treats.  Training: Evie is a little lady! She is housetrained if let out regularly, she walks well on leash, she sleeps in a dog bed at night, and she is well-behaved on car rides. She just needs a watchful eye because she can become overexcited, when playing, etc. She likes to climb furniture (dining chairs, tables, etc.) and investigate things. She needs a watchful eye for these habits.   Medical: Evie is a healthy girl! She just needs her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Evie does well with other small dogs but seems to fear larger dogs. In her foster home, she is having a ball running around with her similar-size furry friends.  She hasn't been observed around cats yet but her foster does NOT think they would be a good fit for this shy sweetheart. Children: Evie has not been observed around children yet. Home: Evie does not like to be left alone, so she'd love a home where someone is around more often than not. Evie would love to have another small, playful dog in her new home.  She'd be good in a condo, apartment, or single-family home. Grooming: Evie has a longer coat, so she'll probably need brushing and professional grooming. Overall: Evie will make a wonderful companion for someone who can handle a lot of kisses and snuggles. Could you love Evie evermore? Please visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. Bella is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption donation is $400. ##2331712##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Evie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
