Kenny is an energetic, fun-loving pup who’s always up for a game of fetch! He loves chasing after tennis balls and will happily swap one for another, keeping the game going. While he’s still learning to bring the ball back, his enthusiasm for play is undeniable. Out in the yard, Kenny is curious and playful, showing off his goofy side with play bows and zoomies. He can get excited when other dogs are around and may need some guidance to stay focused, but he’s eager to engage and have fun. Kenny is looking for an active home that can provide structure, playtime, and lots of love. If you’re ready for an adventurous and playful pal, Kenny is your guy! meet him at ACCT Philly any day between 10 am and 6 pm VIDEOS Kenny plays fetch: https://youtube.com/shorts/Xe4pBOnMG50?si=rdV3dwYxhGnatzQj Kenny sits & plays in the yard: https://youtube.com/shorts/N4cd_6_a_Rc?si=3VPeh-Tu1-MK5-oT Kenny sits: https://youtube.com/shorts/b-vErZb1OEQ?si=L6c_-sr14CQ0b42- 3.28 Playgroup: Ellie, Hunter, Goodman, Girl, Uncle Billy Baby, Kenny https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLu0BL5DekE BEHAVIOR Walksheet as of 4/7: Kenny was taken for 2 walks and participated in playgroup on March 28th, one walk on March 29th, 30th, April 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th. During Kenny's first walk on March 28th, no behavioral issues were noted and no comments were provided. During his second walk on March 28th, mild issues with going through the kennel area, mouthing, and jumpiness, and moderate issues with the leash were noted, with Kenny's energy level being marked as high. This interaction was noted to be an evaluation, and Kenny's handler noted that he is 'easily overstimulated', but 'loves to play with tennis balls'. Kenny was also noted to 'pull strongly on leash'. During Kenny's walk on March 29th, no issues were found and his energy level was noted to be medium. During his walk on March 30th, Kenny's handler noted no issues and found his energy level to be medium. His handler stated that he was 'playful at fence' and 'very sweet' but that his 'manners need work'. During Kenny's walks on April 1st, 4th, and 5th, no behavioral issues were noted, and he was found to be at a medium energy level. During his walk on April 5th, Kenny's handler noted that he had a 'buddy walk with Benji'. During his walk on April 6th, no behavioral issues were noted, and his energy level was medium. Kenny's handler stated he was 'good on walks and on leash'. 04/05/2025 volunteer notes: Approaching the crate in iso he was calm and quiet, standing, with tail down low wagging, ears to the side, soft eyes, mouth closed. He was was easy to leash and pulled moderately outside. Did a buddy walk with small dog Benji, and Kenny was interested in sniffing him and wanting to interacting with neutral, soft body language. He would low wag his tail when I pet his back and was easy to return to the kennel. 03/28/2025 volunteer notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: When I approached Kenny’s kennel, he was standing up. He was panting, his tail was mid level wagging and his eyes were soft but red. I was told he had just recently been in playgroup so it is possible he was still decompressing from that. I opened the kennel door and allowed him to sniff the leash. After a few sniffs, I slide it over his head and he came right out. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls moderate to strong on leash. HANDLING: When we arrived in the yard, Kenney began on leash sniffing. He pooped and peed in the yard. He play bowed at a tennis ball. He did initially do some exit searching, pawing and biting at the fence, particularly when another dog was in the next door yard. Another, over aroused, dog walked past the fence. Kenny seemed to feed off of the energy of the other dog. He was running, barking, jumping at the fence and play bowing. I was unable to distract him or move him away from the fence. He followed tennis balls in the yard when the handler threw them. He would take possession and then swap for another ball. He did not accept treats from the handler. He accepted pets on the face and back. He knows sit but can be jumpy on the handler. Throughout his time in the yard, he seemed to still be panting but had loose, wiggly body language. We went into the volunteer office shortly. In the office, he continued to pant, had a tight lip and red eyes. He put his front paws on my lap and gave me some licks. He did get a bit mouthy but was easily redirected. He accepted pets from other volunteers and continued to be uninterested in treats. He returned to his kennel with no issue. PLAY & TOYS: Kenny was very interested in playing with tennis balls. He seemed interested as soon as we entered the yard. He would fetch after tennis balls and take possession btu did not return to the handler with the ball. When the handler would throw another ball, he would swap the ball. 03/28/2025 staff notes, playgroup: Rowdy play, puppy behavior, didn't understand corrections well, notably sexually motivated (humpy), social, friendly 03/27/2025 finder described Kenny as "friendly" - ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in.
