My story

Roxie Rose is a tiny, adorable girl with a lot of personality. She does not understand why she is over looked. She has a wallflower personality until you bring out the laser light, then it is game on. Roxie Rose came from a partner rescue in Tennessee. She arrived after having a diabetic episode. We switched her to a wet food only diet, have been monitoring her blood sugar and have seen no signs of diabetes returning. Roxie Rose is a special cat that requires a person to be able to read her body language. She can get overstimulated or even protective of where she is laying and may nip. We have been working on this behavior and made great strides. She has revealed a few adorable quirks: she does not meow, but she does make the "ekekek" sound most cats use when they see a bird or squirrel! She also enjoys face scritches and watching the action in the room. Although she is friendly and social, she can be skittish during vet exams, when restrained or if she feels cornered.Roxie Rose will require an experienced adopter with an established relationship with a veterinarian. Our Adoption Team will review her specific health care needs with you prior to adoption.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As
