My story

Jag is a very handsome 7 year old black panther kitty who's lived quite a life. He arrived at HART as a kitty who had been a stray for at least a year. He lived in foster care while he was recovering. During this time, we discovered that he has a food allergy that requires him to eat a limited ingredient diet with a primary ingredient of duck. His foster mom told us that he was a very chill guy who loved to be with her and would lounge for much of the day. He enjoyed playing. He met some young kids and did well with them and also did well with a dog visitor. This sleek boy adores attention, is gentle and calm, and will always come to greet visitors.Jag appears to have a couple other issues in addition to his allergies. He will pull his fur out if stressed and over the summer of 2022, he developed a "cough". When our medical team had some radiographs (X-rays) taken, he found that he has asthma. He also may have some previous trauma due to his year living on the street. Jag is currently on a special diet, a medication to help with stress and is medication to treat his asthma. Our medical team will make sure you have all the tools needed to take this awesome boy home. We do ask that you have an established veterinarian partnership and we feel he would do best in an experienced cat home. If you would like to meet this very affectionate young guy, please complete our online adoption application and come to our shelter!Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jag, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
